A dance-documentary film with Encore East performance group at Dance East, Ipswich, choreographed by Christopher Owen. The film explores connection and community.
This work emerged from a collective urge and desire to be together, with a responsibility to represent coexistence in the world today. As touch is gradually being edged out of our lives, rather than moving away from touch we inherently moved safely towards it - being in close contact was our way of connecting, comforting and learning from one another. We worked with consensual touch as a place of tranquillity and safety - harnessing its healing powers and the positive impact togetherness can have on our lives.
